Gears can be divided into four categories:
Cylindrical gears.According to the structure of the parts, it can be divided into disk teeth and shaft teeth. According to the tooth profile, it can be divided into straight teeth and helical teeth, which are used to transmit power and parallel shaft movement, such as gearbox speed change and engine ignition timing.
Bevel gear.According to the tooth profile, it can be divided into straight bevel gears and spiral bevel gears, which are used for power and motion transmission of cross shafts or cross shafts, such as differential gears and reducers of rear axles.Among them, spiral bevel gears have formed different institutional systems around the world according to different tooth profile processing principles and methods, which are usually called standards.my country's automobile industry basically uses arc bevel gears (also called Gleason system) or cycloid high gears (also called Oerlikon system).
Gear ring.For example, the sliding gear sleeve used for speed change connection and the ring gear used for planetary speed transmission belong to the inner gear ring, and the synchronizer ring gear used for the synchronous control of the speed change belongs to the outer gear ring.
Special gear.Such as oil pump gear, speedometer worm, steering rack and so on.
